About the role
EURS is an EU-native, fully reserved Euro e-money token. The token contracts are the product: every mint, burn and transfer of digital Euros runs through code you will own.
You will be the first dedicated blockchain hire, working directly with the founder and our external auditors. You set the standards — upgrade strategy, key ceremony, monitoring — that a regulated issuer will live with for years.
What you will do
- Design, implement and maintain the EURS token contracts (Ethereum and Polygon) including mint/burn controls, allow-listing and pausing mechanics required under MiCA
- Lead external smart-contract audits: scope, remediation and public reporting
- Build the chain-indexing and reconciliation services that feed our transparency dashboard and reserve attestations
- Define key-management and signing ceremonies with our custody partners
- Contribute to the developer platform: SDK examples, testnet faucet, integration guides
What we are looking for
- 3+ years of production Solidity/EVM experience with contracts that held real value
- Deep understanding of ERC-20 internals, proxy/upgrade patterns and their failure modes
- Experience taking a contract through at least one professional audit
- Fluency in JavaScript/TypeScript or Go for off-chain tooling
- Working proficiency in English; based in (or willing to relocate to) the EU
Nice to have
- Experience with regulated financial infrastructure (EMI, bank, exchange)
- Formal verification exposure (Certora, Halmos, Foundry invariant testing)
- Contributions to open-source Ethereum tooling
