About the role
EuroTrust is in the EMI authorisation process with Finantsinspektsioon and preparing its MiCA white paper. Compliance is not a support function here — it is the moat.
You will work directly with the founder and outside counsel to build the KYB/KYC, transaction-monitoring and regulatory-reporting machinery, and you will help hire the CCO you may one day become.
What you will do
- Operate institutional KYB onboarding: document review, UBO analysis, risk scoring
- Run daily sanctions and transaction-monitoring alert queues; document dispositions
- Draft and maintain AML/CFT policies aligned with Estonian MLTFPA and EU AMLR
- Prepare MiCA Title III disclosures, reserve attestation coordination and supervisory correspondence
- Build the compliance-ops playbooks that scale from 8 pilot institutions to hundreds
What we are looking for
- 2+ years in AML/KYC or financial-crime compliance at a bank, EMI, PSP or exchange
- Working knowledge of EU AML frameworks (AMLD/AMLR) and sanctions regimes
- Ability to read regulation and turn it into concrete operational procedure
- Precise written English — your documents go to auditors and supervisors
- Based in the EU; Estonian language skills are a plus, not a requirement
Nice to have
- Crypto-asset exposure: Travel Rule, blockchain analytics (Chainalysis/Elliptic)
- Experience during a licence application (EMI, PI, VASP/CASP)
- ACAMS/ICA certification
What we offer
- Early-team equity — compliance builds the moat and shares in it
- Remote-first across the EU, quarterly on-sites in Tallinn
- Training budget (ACAMS/ICA certifications covered)
- Front-row seat to one of the first MiCA e-money token authorisations
